FLINT, MI- The Latinx Technology and Community Center invites everyone to recognize and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! A commemoration that is linked to the independence of several Latin American nations and uplifts rich cultural traditions. This celebration has become a vital opportunity to dispel ignorance, prejudice and fear through education about multiculturalism and the history of the countless contributions of Latinx communities.

The final book in the Hispanic Heritage Month series is “Separate is Never Equal – Sylvia Mendez & Her Family’s Fight for Desegregation” by Duncan Tonatiuh. This story takes you to know the life of Silvia Mendez and the injustices she had to overcome in order to have a good education.
