FLINT, MI- LatinX Technology and Community Center invites everyone to recognize and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! A commemoration that is linked to the independence of several Latin American nations and uplifts rich cultural traditions. This celebration has become a vital opportunity to dispel ignorance, prejudice and fear through education about multiculturalism and the history of the countless contributions of Latinx communities.
The next book in the Hispanic Heritage Month series is “My Name is Celia – The Life of Celia Cruz” by Monica Brown. This story takes you to know the life of the famous Celia Cruz. Everything that she lived through and what she had to overcome to follow her dream. What is your dream and what do you do to achieve it?
