FLINT, MI- LatinX Technology and Community Center invites everyone to recognize and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration of the history, culture and contributions Hispanic Americans have had in the United States. It is a month-long celebration beginning September 15 and ending October 15. The celebration includes Independence Day for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico and Chile. As the Hispanic population continues to grow in the United States, it is extremely important to recognize all of the astonishing achievements Hispanic Americans have had, and all that are to come.
LatinX Flint will celebrate the work of Hispanic/LatinX authors during this Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. Beginning September 15 2020, LatinX Flint will periodically publish read-alongs of books by Hispanic/LatinX authors, both in Spanish and English. The read-alongs will be published on the LatinX Flint website, latinxflint.org and on the Facebook page.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
