Latinx is an inclusive term to all genders and it is an alternative term for Latino and Latina.

In 2019, the Board of Directors evolved the long established organizational name and ethnic identifying term from Hispanic to Latinx. Defined and recommended by the youth leadership program participants the organizational leadership envisioned a community center that represents and reflects the diversity of the community it serves.

Bridging Language & Cultural Barriers
Para Una Comunidad Saludable.

The Latinx Technology & Community Center has gone through a period of significant growth. In 2018, with a grant from the C.S. Mott Foundation, Latinx Flint contracted its first paid Executive Director. Since that time, we have re-invigorated our programs and services to respond to the emerging needs of the community as a result of public health crises. (Flint Water Crisis, 2014 & COVID-19 Pandemic, 2019).
